Privacy Policy

Hao Solar by SAC Solar Solutions (S) Private Limited (“we”) runs this website. This policy says what personal data we collect through it, why, who handles it on our behalf, how long we keep it and how to reach us about it. It follows Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

What We Collect, and Why

Enquiry forms. When you send an enquiry (the contact page, the short form on the home page or the roof estimator), we collect your name, mobile number, email address if you give one, the address of the property, the type of property and what you tell us about it. While you type the address, what you have typed is sent to the Singapore Land Authority's OneMap service to suggest matching addresses. We use these details to reply to you, to prepare a quotation and to arrange a site survey. We ask for your consent on the form before anything is sent.

Roof estimator. The estimator asks for a postal code or address so it can find the roof. We send that postal code or address to the Singapore Land Authority's OneMap service to locate it and to Google's Solar API to fetch an aerial survey of the building. The result (the roof's outline, a cropped aerial photo and our panel layout) is kept on our server for up to 30 days so a second visit does not repeat the lookup. That cache holds the roof, not you: no name, phone number or anything else about the visitor is stored with it. Your answers in the estimator (bill, usage, property type) stay in your browser until you close the tab, and reach us only if you send the enquiry at the end.

Spam protection. Every form includes a Cloudflare Turnstile check. Cloudflare may process your IP address and browser details to decide whether the submission came from a person. We do not see or keep those details.

Server records. Like most websites, our server keeps short technical logs (the page requested, the time, your IP address) for security and to fix faults. We do not use cookies for advertising and we do not run third-party analytics on this site at present; if that changes, this policy will say so.

Who Handles Your Data for Us

We use a small number of service providers, each only for the purpose named: a hosting provider for the website and its database; our customer records system, where enquiries are stored and followed up; Cloudflare, for the spam check; OneMap, for address suggestions and the roof lookup; and Google, for the roof lookup, both described above. Each provider may store data outside Singapore. We choose providers that offer protection comparable to the PDPA and we send them only what the purpose needs.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

How Long We Keep It

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and, if you become a customer, for the life of the installation and its warranty, plus any period the law requires for business records. Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted or anonymised within two years. The roof cache expires after 30 days.

Your Choices

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent and have it deleted, at any time. Write to [email protected] or send a WhatsApp message to +65 8221 6250. We answer within 30 days. Withdrawing consent means we can no longer follow up your enquiry.
